First Grade
This is probably the most important
year of your child's academic career! First grade is the foundation upon
which all other grades will be built. It is an exciting, transitional,
wondrous, challenging year filled with academic and social growth. It is
the year your child will learn how to read, write, add and subtract. What
a wonderful journey your child is embarking on...the magical world of learning!

Homework Policy
Homework is required Monday throughout
Thursday. Students should complete a minimum of 15-20 minutes of
reading daily. Other daily assignments need to be COMPLETED
BY THE STUDENT and REVIEWED by the parent. These assignments are
typically a review of concepts taught in class. Weekend reading is strongly
encouraged.
