Second Grade
Welcome to the wonderful world of second
grade! It is our goal to help your child to do their personal best
academically and socially. The second grade curriculum expands upon
the basic skills taught in first grade. In addition, we strive to
develop responsible students with good communication and study skills.
It is our hope that the students will apply the skills taught in second
grade throughout their academic lives and beyond.

Homework Policy
Homework is required Monday through Thursday.
In addition to the daily assignment in math, spelling, poetry, or reading
comprehension 15-20 minutes of reading is expected. Daily reading
logs need to be signed by an adult for reading assignments to be considered
complete. Weekend reading is strongly encouraged. Bishop School is
once again participating in the Governor's Reading program. We ask
that the parents help their child keep track of extra books by filling
out the Governor's reading log.
