Fifth Grade

The fifth grade is an important academic and emotional transition period for our students.  Academically, they will be expected to use the reading, writing, and mathematical knowledge that they have accumulated from the previous four years to acquire more complex, real-world skills.
Emotionally, two things will be happening to our students. First, some will begin going through the challenging period of preadolescence and second, they will be leaving the comfortable environment of elementary school.
These transitions can be both challenging and exciting.  It is our desire to ensure that our students are successful in making these transitions and are prepared to enter the next step in their academic career ---The Middle School!
