Columbia's Community

We are located on the north side of Sunnyvale near many major high tech companies and within easy access of Highway 101. Columbia has an enrollment of about 900 middle school students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) from a diverse ethnic and socioeconomic background. Four elementary schools (Lakewood, Bishop, Fairwood, and San Miguel) feed into Columbia. The families served by Columbia have a 20% mobility rate; free or reduced-price lunches are offered to 50% of the children; and 10% receive Aid For Dependant Children. A large portion of the Columbia community is limited or non-English speaking.

Our school day starts at 8:05 am and concludes at 2:50 pm on Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays our start time is pushed back to 10:00 am.  Click here for detailed school schedules.
