Columbia Middle School

Columbia's Facilities and Programs

Columbia is situated adjacent to a city park complete with a pool, track, tennis courts, picnic area, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields. These areas are designated for school use during the school day. We are a large facility with 43 regular classrooms and 7 lab rooms, housing our science classes and some elective programs. These rooms were renovated in 1994 to accommodate the needs of a middle school population. The AMD Sports and Service Center Facility (completed in September 1996) houses a full size gymnasium and locker room along with the offices for many of the Columbia Neighborhood Center (CNC) programs. The CNC Health Center is also located in this facility.

Columbia also has the following to support our school and community:

• 2 Computer Labs that kind of work--anyone willing to donate some time to help us out?
• Library
• Sunnyvale School District Preschool Program, which serves approximately 100 children
• Two Santa Clara County Office of Education classes for severely handicapped students
• The Grand Market Place (School Cafeteria offering breakfast and lunch)
• Columbia Neighborhood Center (CNC), AMD Sports and Services Center
