School Policies - Student Awards

Each quarter there are Award Assemblies to recognize students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or better, or who have perfect attendance. The possible awards include:

• Students earning a 3.0 to 3.49 GPA become part of the Honor Roll.
• Students earning a 3.5 to 3.99 GPA receive the Scholastic Award.
• Students earning a 4.0 GPA become part of the Principal's Honor Roll.
• Students who have been present every day and on time receive a perfect attendance award.
• Students in 7th and 8th grade who maintain a 3.67 GPA for at least 2 quarters may write an essay and complete 10 service hours to become part of the National Junior Honor Society.  These students are recognized in a special evening award ceremony in the Spring.
