In order to meet the needs of our students, it is essential that the home and the school communicate openly and frequently. At the school, we try to meet this need through our reporting procedures and formal parent-teacher communication. It is of equal importance that parents keep teachers informed of any developments which might influence the student's performance. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any information or questions. Be assured that we welcome your involvement and that, frequently, the information shared enables us to better meet the needs of the student.
In addition, the following forms of communication
are used here:
Report Cards: mailed
home quarterly.
Progress Reports: distributed to the students
during the fifth week of each quarter if they have a C- or below in any
classes.
The Newsletter: a monthly
calendar of events and information mailed home.
Attendance Voice Mail: To report an absence
when our office is closed, call (408)
522-8247, ext 19, and record the student's name, grade, reason
for absence and your name.
Conferences: Call the office, (408)
522-8247, between the 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for information or to request
a conference concerning grades or behavior.
Student Agenda: a tool for each
student to help organize his/her homework. We hope each parent will check
this organizer daily for current homework assignments.
Visiting Classrooms and the School Campus: Parents
must call the office first for an appointment and also check
in at the office on the day of the visit for a visitor's pass.
