School Policies -- Dress Code
All students and adults are expected to
keep themselves clean, well-groomed and dressed appropriately so as
not to distract or offend others. Violations of the standards will
be referred to the office for follow-up.
Specific styles and items that are not acceptable for
school are:
- Rubber bands around pant legs.
- "Sagging" pants or shorts. Pants or shorts
need to fit at the natural waist and stay in place without
a belt. Crotch seam length must not inhibit natural and
safe movement.
- Hats, hoods, beanies, any head coverings and sunglasses
worn indoors.
- Attire such as long chains, studs, and rivets which may
be used as a weapon, may cause property damage, or get
caught and restrict safe movement.
- Low necklines, halters, tube tops, bare midriffs, spaghetti
straps, see-through garments, and undershirts.
- Deliberately torn clothing.
- Clothing that causes a campus/class disruption.
- Shorts and skirts need to be at least mid-thigh in length.
All undergarments must be covered. Shoes must be worn at
all times and permit safe movement.
- These standards also
apply at all school activities, field trips, and dances.
