ELLIS SCHOOL HAS BEEN NAMED A CALIFORNIA DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL!
State Superintendent of Public Instruction announced 387 exemplary schools were named 2012 California Distinguished School for their innovative education programs that encourage students to learn. This program identifies and honors schools that have demonstrated educational excellence for all students. This honor recognizes the hard work of our entire school community: Ellis teachers and staff who create effective programs and interventions to support all students, our parents who demonstrate their support for education by working in partnership with our school and teachers to support their child's education, our PTO for their dedication in providing classroom resources and enrichment activities for all Ellis students, our community partners KLAS, CHAC, YMCA, the City of Sunnyvale, our School District for their resources and guidance, and of course OUR STUDENTS for their dedication to becoming the best they can be every day! There will be a formal ceremony in May to honor the 2012 California Distinguished Schools in Santa Clara County. Ellis will receive a flag and a plaque to commemorate this achievement. Congratulations to all. |
