Dear Cherry Chase Families,

Welcome! To help you navigate through the first day of school, we have prepared this summary sheet. It’s going to be a great day!

Class lists will be posted after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21.  Class lists will be posted in the computer lab windows directly behind the office.

Kindergarten classrooms will be open from 4:00 – 5:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21.  Please visit with your child, in order to meet your new teacher and make some friendly connections.

School begins on Wednesday, August 22 at 8:15 AM.  The playground is open at 8:00 AM. All students should proceed to their line up location when the bell rings at 8:12 AM. Teachers will meet students in line and walk the students to class.

Line up areas are painted on the black top. 

We encourage you to allow ample time to get to school on the first day. WALK if possible. Heavy traffic congestion slows everyone down and no one wants to be late on the first day back to school!

The circular drop off area is open in the front of the school, you may use it.  It is a DROP OFF area and it is not to be used for parking.  Pull as far forward as possible, allow your child to safely exit, then proceed to exit yourself – turning right onto Heatherstone Way. You may also continue to use the drop off area on Grape Ave.

At the end of the day, Kindergarten students need to be picked up at their classroom doors.  Teachers will open the doors and match each child to an adult.  Please wait outside and refrain form knocking on the door. Kinder dismissal is at 11:30 AM through September 30.

Students in grades 1-5 will be dismissed from their classrooms at 2:30 to meet their parents or to walk or ride home.  Please make arrangements with your children before you bring them to school, so they know where to go/meet you at the end of the day.
