• Come join the fun in Library Club. Students can come to the library during recess/lunch and learn to check books in, put books back on the shelves, clean the shelves, cover new books and make new friends. Did you know that the AR section in the library is kept in order by the Library Club members? We keep the library clean and in order. Come see what it's all about.

• CYRM: California Young Reader Medal books . Mrs. Atkins will read the five books to be voted on, to the K-3rd grade classes. It's fun to watch the children get excited for each book. It's another learning experience about voting and how each vote counts. The book than our students voted for was "We Are In A Book" by Mo Willems.

• Wondering if a book is in the Cumberland Library? You may now search online to see if your favorite book is here!

• Type To Learn 4 can be used from home, after downloading and installing the 1GB program on your home computer. Please follow the directions to install locally; students will then use their student ID and initials (their AR login) and account number 140765 to access the program.

Do you want to become a millionaire?
Well, now you have your chance. All you have to do is read, read, and read!!!!

Once you have read one million (1,000,000) words your name will be written on a special star and hang in the office. Complete the enrollment form and turn it in to Mrs. Atkins.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Strouse' class.  Twelve of her students have become millionaires this year!  Two of her students are millionaires twice this year!
