Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Miguel has an enrollment of 478 culturally diverse students consisting of 61% Hispanic/Latino, 14% Filipino, 12% Asian, 6% Caucasian, 4% African American, and 3% Other.  Our school community reflects a wide range of occupations, family structures, and socio-economic levels.  Regardless of background, at San Miguel we believe that all children can learn.

When San Miguel reopened in 1994, it blended a "Back to Basics" philosophy with a neighborhood school.  We work to provide children with the basic academic tools they will need to become productive, responsible citizens.  Our students work toward established standards for performance, behavior, attendance, and homework as we emphasize proficiency in academic skills, parental involvement, and personal responsibility.
