CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

Hi Parents-
School is just around the corner and we're ramping up to fill all our open volunteer positions at SMS!  Our kids are more independent than ever, but it's not quite party-time for us parents... school still needs our help!
 
Here are the opportunities where you can make a difference this year...
 
Help for this year (* = good job for working parents!):
All-Purpose Help (help with one time events during or after school hours)
Staff Appreciation Week (help coordinate activities for our teachers in May)
Field Trip/Classroom Help  (assist teachers with field trips, parties, etc.)
Library (work with librarian)
PE Equipment Support (help maintain and set-up equipment throughout the year)
Reflections (coordinate with the PTA and encourage kids to participate in this great art program)
Reading Tutors (help with reading for strategic learners)
Spartan Spirit Help (work with Principal on incentives for the Spartan Spirit program)
6th Grade Greek Olympics  (plan and coordinate the event)
7th Grade Field Day (plan and coordinate)
6th Grade Barn Dance/Potluck (plan and coordinate)
7th Grade swing Dance/Potluck (plan and coordinate)
7th/8th Grade Triathlon (plan and coordinate)
Community Dinner Nights*  (work with local restaurants to arrange fundraising nights)
