| Lakewood School is a "Grrrrr..eat Place to Learn". Everywhere you turn, students are learning! Before school and after school
tutorial and enrichment programs such as Kids Learning After
School (KLAS), are available for all students.
Lakewood School serves a population of nearly 550
students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school
is located in a residential section on the north side of
Sunnyvale, California. While in the heart of "Silicon
Valley", Lakewood is near many major technological
companies.
Lakewood School is a safe and happy learning environment for all students and staff. Several programs have been implemented to improve school climate
and academic success. Homework Heroes, Honor Roll, High
5 raffle tickets, and Student of the Month are structured to allow for more participation and formalized honoring of
all students. Monday Patriotic Assembly and Student Leadership activities have a very positive impact on student behavior. Upper grade students are encouraged to develop leadership qualities by participating in the Student Leadership class with the Principal.
