The student may view educational videos
on the Gold Rush, the Changing Earth, California’s history or other

math the student may
analyze real-world data to recognize patterns and relationships of the
measures of central tendency using tables, charts, histograms, bar graphs,
line graphs pictographs, and circle graphs generated by appropriate
technology including calculators and computers.
NETS Standard 9: Determine when technology is useful and
select the appropriate tool(s) and technology resources to address a
variety of tasks and problems.
Possible
Integration Strategies:
a. Math
The student selects and uses appropriate instruments and technology,
including scales, rulers, thermometers, measuring cups, protractors, and
gauges to measure in real-world situations.
The student selects and uses appropriate
technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of communication.
b. Language Arts: For any given project choose the most
appropriate form of presentation is chosen including the options of
creating a slide show, short stack in HyperStudio, creative story,
newspaper, web page, poster, sign, or brochure.
c.
Math: Measuring: According to the math unit being
presented in class, the student will use the best tool, among electronic
and traditional resources, to measure any given object.
d. All curricular as
appropriate.
The student can perform more hands-on
activities in developing individual multimedia projects (i.e. slide
shows).

appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and bias of electronic information
sources.
