Certificated Application Process
Sunnyvale only accepts applications online through Edjoin. You will need to attach the following documents when applying:
- A cover letter which includes your qualifications and/or experience with regard to the position for which you are applying
- A current resume
- Three (3) letters of recommendation, with at least one letter regarding your most recent work experience
It is very important that you submit all the required documents when applying through Edjoin. However, if you are waiting for a recommendation letter from a current student teaching assignment, or are unable to scan the required documents, please mail or fax the remaining document(s) to the Human Resources Department and then forward your master teacher's recommendation as soon as it's completed.
If you possess a credential, please submit a copy along with your application. If you are a non-credentialed applicant and you would like more information about obtaining a California Teaching Credential, please visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) website at: www.ctc.ca.gov
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications being processed by this office, it will not be possible to acknowledge receipt of each application, nor schedule interviews for all applicants. Your application is kept on file for the academic school year in which you apply. For further information regarding teaching positions within Sunnyvale, please contact:
