Welcome to the Sunnyvale School District!

Our Promise is every student is known by name, strength and need, ready to excel in high school and beyond, and to lead a life of joy and purpose.

The Sunnyvale School District team includes more than 800 highly qualified educators, administrators, and support staff whose primary goal is to enable the approximately 5,600 students enrolled in our schools to achieve academic success. 

Our district is composed of a comprehensive preschool program, eight elementary schools serving students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade, and two middle schools serving students in sixth through eighth grade. Sunnyvale is located in the northwestern section of Santa Clara County, in the heart of Silicon Valley.
