Special Education Programs

Special Education is specifically designed instruction, at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. Students are eligible for Special Education services through the Sunnyvale School District beginning at three years of age.

Our Preschool Program offers a variety of resources and support services. The Assessment Team works to identify a student's strengths and determine what support is required for access to education. They also provide information to families about community resources, parent workshops, and counseling. If you feel your child needs an assessment for specialized needs, please contact Ashley Vargas at ashley.vargas@sesd.org.

If you would like assistance with the registration process, please call Anna Segovia at (408) 522-8213 ext. 2039 to make an appointment, or come into our Sunnyvale Preschool Offices at 750 Lakechime Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
