SSD Board resolution R26-06

On Thursday, our Board of Trustees once again reaffirmed our commitment to be a safe haven for students. We are committed to protecting equal access to education for all students, regardless of immigration status.

In accordance with our own values and state and federal law:

  • We will not allow immigration-enforcement officers on our campuses without proper identification and authorization.
  • We protect student confidentiality and personal information. We will not share personal information about students or families with immigration enforcement.
  • We do not allow immigration officers to contact students unless they present a signed judicial warrant or demonstrate rare, urgent circumstances.

We will do everything we can to make our schools safe, nurturing, and respectful environments for all students, families, and staff.
