Dear Sunnyvale School District Families,
What a wonderful start to the new school year. It was so energizing to welcome our students back to campus this past week and feel the familiar mix of excitement and nervousness in the air. Seeing their smiling faces fill our classrooms and hallways again was truly a highlight.
As we move forward, we'll continue building on this positive momentum by establishing strong routines and deepening relationships between students, teachers, and staff. We're also looking forward to connecting with all of you in person at our upcoming Back to School Nights. Please check your school's schedule for specific dates and times—we can't wait to see you there!
We know that a strong partnership between home and school is key to a child’s success, and we encourage you to get involved in any way you can. Whether it's joining the PTA, a School Site Council, or an ELAC, we hope you'll find a way to engage with your school community. Take the time to get to know your child's teachers and principals so that we can support you and your child's learning journey this year.
We also wanted to inform you of a Know Your Rights Townhall with Senator Aisha Wahab on August 26 at 7:00 p.m. You can RSVP at https://bit.ly/SD10-KYR or call 510-794-3900.
We are also encouraging all families to complete a Household Income Form before September 2. The information provided on this form directly impacts the funding our schools receive. These resources are essential for supporting student programs, services, and opportunities. By taking a few minutes to complete the form, you are helping us ensure that our scholars and schools have the resources they need to thrive.
Submitting the form will not affect a family's eligibility for benefits. This application is confidential and will not be shared with outside agencies. ¡Qué gran comienzo de este nuevo año escolar! Fue muy emocionante dar la bienvenida a sus hijos de regreso a la escuela la semana pasada y sentir la mezcla de emoción y nervios en el aire. Ver sus caras sonrientes otra vez en los salones y pasillos fue lo mejor.
