  • DIGITAL LITERACY TRAINING COMING TO SUNNYVALE SCHOOLS

    Over $300,000 in grant funding from the State Public Utilities Commission’s will advance a joint venture with the City of Sunnyvale. The funding will provide 650 families with digital literacy training, access to Internet-ready devices and low-cost broadband internet services.

  • RETIRED SUNNYVALE TEACHERS GROUP WALK THE RUNWAY TO RAISE MONEY

    Funding goes to each of the Title 1 schools to help defray costs for sending fifth graders to Science Camp and this year they distributed a total of 16 mini-grants to Sunnyvale teachers, eight at the elementary level and eight at the middle schools.

  • SAN MIGUEL FIRST GRADERS DESIGN AND SELL GREETING CARDS TO BENEFIT SCHOOLS AFFECTED BY THE CAMP FIRE

    Students designed 37 different greeting cards for all occasions, many of which were bilingual, and hosted a greeting card sale the morning of Feb. 1 in the school cafeteria!

    Students participated in a hands-on simulation to raise awareness about global poverty and learn about how food is inequitably distributed around the world.

  • ELLIS’ PRINCIPAL ERIC PANOSIAN MURPHY AWARD WINNER

    Congratulations to Ellis Principal Eric Panosian, who was recognized as the District’s Outstanding Educator of the Year at the 54th annual Murphy Awards held on Feb. 23 by the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce.
