Golden State Warriors & Reading Partners held a rally around their literacy program, Read to Achieve

The Warriors, in partnership with Ross Stores and Reading Partners, hosted a Read to Achieve Reading Rally at Ellis Elementary School in Sunnyvale on Wednesday, March 7, in celebration of Women’s History Month. The Reading Rally, which was facilitated by Warriors In-Game Host Ruby Lopez, took place at a school assembly and consisted of a program where Warriors forward Quinn Cook and Warriors assistant coach/player development Bruce Fraser spoke to the students about the importance of reading. The pair also helped Reading Partners students read out loud, with one of the books focusing on women’s history. The Warriors are celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March with a variety of in-arena activations and community efforts to spotlight the vanguards of the women’s movement, while also inspiring and empowering a new generation of female leaders.
