My Mission Statement

My mission as a teacher is to inspire my students to believe in themselves, celebrate their successes, and to challenge their thinking. I will teach my students they have the power to make good choices and to become active leaders by creating a safe and nurturing environment. My goal for my students is for each individual’s uniqueness to shine and for students to feel safe and supported in taking risks. By setting high expectations and providing engaging and diverse learning opportunities my hope is that they will grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. I promise to motivate and challenge all types of learners to reach their full potential. I will inspire a love for learning within my students by maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude as I guide them through 1^st grade! Learning is a life long journey, and it is my goal to help all my students succeed!

Our Class Mission Statement

We, Mrs. Shoemaker’s Class, promise to be responsible and respectful students. We will be nice to each other and listen when others speak every day. When we are at school we are here to learn, make good choices, and be active learners. We promise to work together as a team and be leaders. It is our promise to always try our best!
