  • 8th Grade Promotion

    Our 8th grade promotion celebration is almost here! On Tuesday students will attend their regular classes before lunch (Periods 1-4) and then practice for promotion in the afternoon. Students do not need to bring their gowns for Tuesday's practice. Students will only wear promotion gowns on Wednesday, June 5. Students will take individual pictures in their promotion gowns during the Wednesday morning promotion practice.

    PROMOTION CEREMONY — Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 1:00pm in the SMS Quad Area

    Promotion Day Timeline

    10:30am: 8th Grade students report to school for practice, awards, photos and brunch

    12:00 – 12:30pm: Brunch will be available in the Multi for 8th grade students

    12:15pm: Campus gates will open for families to arrive

    1:00pm: Promotion Ceremony begins

  • Fall Celebration Rescheduled

    The Fall Celebration and Academics Awards has been rescheduled for Friday, December 14, 2017. Food trucks in the quad will begin at 5:30 pm and the awards ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm in the Gym.

  • Bryan Stow moves middle schoolers to pledge to stop bullies

    In an effort to stop bullying behavior before it reaches adulthood, assault victim and San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow told Sunnyvale and Columbia middle school students about how he recovered from a brutal beating by two men after a 2011 Dodgers-Giants baseball game in Los Angeles left him in a coma for months.
