I have been teaching for the Sunnyvale school district for 14 years in 2nd, 4th and now wonderful Kindergarten! Both of my parents are teachers and I always knew that is what I wanted to be. I love my job and the families I serve!

I grew up in Santa Cruz and went to UC Santa Cruz for my teaching credential and Master’s Degree. After teaching for six years I became Nationally Board Certified and have continued to grow in my profession.

I am the proud mother of two beautiful children! My son, Andrew, is 5 and a half and my daughter, Abigail, is three. Being a mother is the most rewarding and exhausting job I have ever had. My husband, Jeremy, works in the tech world but secretly wishes he too was a teacher.

I can’t imagine being anywhere but here! This is my 11th year teaching in Sunnyvale and I feel a very strong connection to our students and school community. I love my job and coming to school each day.

I grew up in San Francisco and went to college at Santa Clara University. The year after I graduated, I lived in Sitka, Alaska volunteering at a Women’s and Children’s shelter. I returned to Santa Clara University for my teaching credential and eventually my Master’s Degree.

My daughter Alicia is 5 and a half years old. She is very strong willed and inspires me to be a better teacher. I have a son Lucas who is 2 years old. My husband Joe is the principal of Christo Rey High School in East San Jose.
