Parents, the principal, and teachers work together on the School Site Council (SSC), which is responsible for developing the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The SSC must approve the plan, recommend it to the local governing board for approval, monitor its implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of the planned activities at least annually.
The SSC develops, reviews, and evaluates school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are elected by their peers; parents elect parents and teachers elect teachers, for a two-year term.
Meetings are held a minimum of six times per year and are open to the public. Please contact the principal’s office for more information about SSC.
