Hello, my name is Leah Brunnings and this is my second year teaching at Cumberland, and my 16th year as an educator! I am one of those teachers who knew she wanted to be a teacher from an early age. I attended UC Davis for her undergraduate degree, UC Santa Barbara for her Masters/Teaching Credential, and SJSU for a Master's in Educational Leadership/Administrative Credential.  Lifelong learning is a passion of mine, and I hope to inspire my students to be life long learners as well! In my classroom I encourage student autonomy through choices, mindfulness and understanding of the importance of a growth mindset. I am fortunate to not only teach at Cumberland, but have my own two children attend this wonderful school! My daughters are in third and first grade this year.  As a family we enjoy traveling (we are big National Parks fans!), hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Cumberland!
