    Dear Families,

On behalf of the Student Services Department in Sunnyvale School District, THANK YOU for the way you supported your students' hearts and minds during the pandemic. With the transitions between COVID-related restrictions and racial injustice occurring in our world, we want to acknowledge the challenges, turmoil, and steadfast perseverance you are providing each day for your family. We are resilient when we teach ourselves and our students' well-being tools and how to bring our best selves to the world. Together, we can thrive. Join me as we set daily intentions to practice Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills to be the best self we can be. Here are some daily practices for your routine.

    • Set Your Intentions to Start the Day

    • Practice Mindfulness

    • Check-in and Share How You Are Feeling

    • Cultivate Compassion for Yourself and Others

    • Practice an Attitude of Gratitude

The purpose of this site is to provide resources for you and your family. Give you and your family space and grace to finish this school year strong, celebrate the bright spots, and practice self-care.

    With Gratitude,

    Rachel Bacosa
