Here in Sunnyvale, we continue to value the beauty of all of our diversity, including the diversity of our perspectives. Critically, we also value our ability to discuss and share diverse opinions and perspectives with civility.
Our teachers have taught me how important it is to take more time to check in with students and to listen carefully to what they are saying and what they are not saying so we can help them continue their trajectory of social-emotional growth.
During the weeks leading up to the December vacation, District staff will be developing plans for the potential, gradual, phased reopening of campuses to students for in-person instruction during the month of January.
We believe a phased, gradual approach is important to maintain the health and safety of our community while continuing to provide the best possible instructional program under the circumstances.
