    We have a dedicated team taking care of the medical needs of all of our students to help them stay healthy and ready to learn. 

    Our District Nurses

    • collaborate with parents and doctors to implement individual health care plans and emergency plans for our students with chronic illnesses and severe allergies
    • train and supervise school staff to make sure the individual health care need of each student is met
    • perform health and developmental assessments including vision and hearing screening
    • supervise and coordinate medication administration and first aid
    • are experts on school health issues and provide health education and consultation to staff members and students
    • provide crisis intervention
    • provide access to resources for families in need, such as the VSP Sight for Students program for free eye exams and glasses
    • help uninsured students and families get connected with insurance and a medical home

    Our Health Assistants

    • run the school health office
    • provide first aid to injured students and TLC to sick students
    • assist students with their medications 
    • collect and screen health and immunization records to ensure our students are up to date with the required vaccines 
    • coordinate the vision, hearing, and dental screening programs
