CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
Weekly Construction Summary: June 9–14, 2025
Sunnyvale Middle School 2-Story Classroom Building – Project 23-112
During the week of June 9th through June 14th, multiple contractors made steady progress across several key areas of the new two-story classroom building:
Electrical and Low Voltage: Design Electric continued running split wire systems above ceiling mecho boxes and made progress on installing exterior lighting. Later in the week, they also worked on mounting enclosures for wireless access points (WAPs).
Site and Civil Work: McGuire and Hester focused on forming and placing rebar in the east courtyard. They also poured a mechanical pad and received four truckloads of base rock for grading.
Interior Construction and Finishes:
Drywall & Partitions: Magnum Drywall installed bathroom partitions throughout both E1 and E2 and laid out marker boards and walls in classrooms.
Ceiling Tile Installation: T3 continued dropping ceiling tiles, completing E1 and progressing through E2.
Millwork: Fremont Millwork Company worked on casework installations, with a delivery of new materials received midweek.
Glazing and Trim: Silicon Valley Glass installed mullion trim at curtain walls and storefronts across the site.
Technology Infrastructure: ICS assisted in the installation of interior and exterior WAPs on building E2.
Paving and Grading: On June 14, O’Grady Paving began grading the fire access road and courtyard area and placed header boards along the west side of E1.
