Bus Passes for the 2024-2025 School Year

The bus pass application for the 2024-2025 school year is now open.  Due to capacity limitations on our school buses, once buses are full, students will be placed on a waitlist and accepted as seats become available.

We are accepting bus pass applications for priority 1 students. For questions please follow the HTST link. (https://www.sesd.org/Page/5606).

We are now starting to send registration targeted emails to priority 2 students that we know we can accommodate for next year.

    Safety, Courtesy, Service

The mission of the Transportation Department is to provide safe transportation services that enhance educational opportunities for our children. Each employee is dedicated to behaviors that guarantee courtesy to our students and those with whom we share the road. Service to our community is our shared value and the measure of our success.

    Bus Routes

For the safety of your children, bus routes will no longer be posted on this site. Please contact your student's school in the coming year for bus stop information.

    OUR FLEET

One of the significant benefits of half of Sunnyvale School District's school buses being powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is the positive impact on the environment. CNG buses produce significantly lower emissions compared to traditional diesel buses, contributing to improved air quality for both students and the community. By choosing CNG as the fuel source, the district demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The use of CNG buses also aligns with the district's educational mission, providing an opportunity to educate students about the importance of eco-friendly transportation and environmental stewardship.

In addition to CNG buses, the integration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the Sunnyvale School District's transportation fleet brings numerous benefits. EV buses offer zero tailpipe emissions, resulting in cleaner air and a healthier environment for students, staff, and the community. By embracing EV technology, the district demonstrates its forward-thinking approach and commitment to innovative solutions that align with renewable energy goals. The use of EVs also provides a quieter and more comfortable ride for students, creating a conducive atmosphere for learning and promoting a positive transportation experience. Furthermore, the adoption of EVs sets an example for students, inspiring them to consider sustainable transportation options and the potential of electric vehicles in shaping a greener future.
